Gearing Up in an Active City
New Braunfels is an outdoor city. Residents spend summers on the Comal and Guadalupe rivers, play youth sports throughout the year, hike and bike local trails and take advantage of nearby golf courses. That active lifestyle creates steady demand for quality sports equipment, from tubes and paddles to cleats, bats and fitness gear.
Thanks to its location on Interstate 35, New Braunfels shoppers can choose from large national retailers in town and specialty stores a short drive away in San Antonio, San Marcos and Buda.
What to Consider When Choosing a Store
The best store depends on your sport and skill level. Big-box retailers offer selection and convenience, while specialty shops provide expert fitting and advice. Consider product range, staff knowledge, return policies, price matching and services such as bike tune-ups, racket stringing or club fitting.
