Fargo's reputation as a technology city did not happen overnight. The roots trace back to Great Plains Software, a homegrown accounting software company that grew into a major business and was eventually acquired by Microsoft. That acquisition turned Fargo into one of Microsoft's largest campuses outside its headquarters and helped spark a generation of software talent, entrepreneurs, and startups. Today, with strong university partnerships, an active startup community, and a collaborative business culture, Fargo is home to software companies serving customers around the world.
This guide highlights ten software companies that define Fargo's technology landscape, from enterprise giants to innovative startups.
