Pomona's housing stock is as varied as its residents. You will find Victorian and Craftsman homes in historic districts like Lincoln Park, suburban family homes in Phillips Ranch, modern apartments near downtown, and student housing surrounding Cal Poly Pomona. Each type of home brings its own furnishing challenges, from maximizing small spaces to preserving historic character.
Fortunately, the Pomona Valley and surrounding Inland Empire host some of the largest furniture showrooms in Southern California. Combined with national brands that offer online design tools and delivery, local shoppers have excellent choices. Here are ten furniture stores that stand out.
What Pomona Homeowners Want from Furniture
Durability is a top priority, especially for families with children and pets. Comfort matters for living room pieces that get daily use, and style must fit the home's architecture. Many Pomona shoppers also look for flexible delivery options, assembly services, financing, and clear warranty coverage. With Southern California's warm climate, outdoor furniture for patios and backyards is another popular category.

Furniture Trends in the Pomona Valley
Modular furniture is gaining popularity, particularly sectionals that can be reconfigured as households change. Performance fabrics that resist stains and fading are in high demand. Outdoor living continues to grow as residents invest in patio sets, fire pits, and shaded seating to enjoy the region's pleasant evenings.
Sustainability is another major influence. More shoppers look for responsibly sourced wood, low-emission finishes, and pieces built to last rather than be replaced. Vintage and secondhand furniture, especially mid-century designs, remains popular among Pomona's creative community and historic homeowners.
How to Choose the Right Furniture Store
Measure your rooms and doorways before shopping. Decide on a budget and prioritize pieces that get the most use, such as sofas and mattresses. Test furniture in person when possible, checking comfort, frame construction, and cushion quality. Ask about delivery fees, assembly, return policies, and warranty terms before finalizing a purchase.
