Transportation Tips for Visitors
Visitors to New Braunfels can make getting around easier with a bit of planning. If you plan to spend an evening in Gruene, arrange your ride home in advance, as ride-share demand surges after concerts and events at Gruene Hall. Designating a pickup spot slightly away from the busiest areas can help drivers find you more quickly.
For river days, check whether your tubing outfitter provides shuttle service from parking areas or your accommodations. This can save money and eliminate the stress of finding parking near the river. If you are staying at a hotel, ask whether it offers shuttle service or has partnerships with local transportation providers.
When traveling to or from the airport, compare the cost of ride-share, shuttle services, and private car services. For groups with luggage, a larger vehicle or private transfer may be more practical and cost-effective. During Wurstfest and other major events, take advantage of event shuttles where available. Planning ahead ensures that you spend less time waiting and more time enjoying everything New Braunfels has to offer.
